Award winning actress and comedian Lauren Ash is proving that she's a triple threat by adding music to the mix.

Ash is taking her first-ever tour on the road, and making a stop right here in Philadelphia.

"I started this whole project as like a gift to my younger self, because my dream was always to be a rock star," says Ash.

Ash is best known for roles in shows like ABC's "Not Dead Yet".

She says it was a moment at her 40th birthday that sparked her next big move.

"I wanted to live this dream, so I hired a band," she says. "I put on this concert, and it was the best night of my life. I was like, 'Why am I not just doing this?' And so that's kind of what started the whole wild ride."

Ash hit the recording studio and released a debut pop-punk album called "Call Me When You Get This".

"It's a steam locomotive," she says. "It's a fast train that I'm on now, and I can't get off. That's the joy, and also rub, of this whole thing. It's become bigger than me at this point."

And now, she's taking her high octane tour to seven cities across the country, including Philadelphia.

She says if you're heading out to one of her shows, buckle up!

"There's loud guitar and a pop punk, kind of nostalgic feeling, early 2000s music," she says. "We go hard."

"You're not just coming for a music show. You're coming for a whole piece of theater, as far as I'm concerned. It's so fun."

Lauren Ash is bringing her "Call Me When You Get This" tour to Kung Fu Necktie in Fishtown on October 15th.

Tickets are available now.
