Sublime isn’t only heading out on the road with live a series of live dates in 2026, the beloved ‘90s band has announced their first-ever festival.

The “What I Got” band will host the Me Gusta Festival May 9 at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, Texas. Other bands on the bill include Slightly Stoopid, Iration, Long Beach Dub Allstars, the Ataris, Codefendants, HR of Bad Brains, Jakobs Castle and more.

The festival takes its name from the lyrics of Sublime’s radio hit “Caress Me Down,” which was never released as a single but received substantial airplay on KROQ Los Angeles and other stations. The song includes the lyrics, “Me gusta mi reggae, me gusta punk rock,” which sums of the group’s trademark mix of punk, reggae and rock.

The festival isn’t just a one-off. There will be additional dates announced in the coming weeks, including June 27 in Oregon.

The Me Gusta Festival dates are just part of a big year planned for the group. The band is set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album with shows April 17 and 18 at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colo.

Sublime is also slated to appear at the baseball-theme Innings Festival in Tempe, Ariz. on Feb. 22, as well as at Reggae Rise Up Florida in St. Peterburg, Fla. March 12-15 before heading off to Australia for dates there.

Sublime’s story is tainted by tragedy. The band, founded in 1988 by Eric Wilson, Bud Gaugh and Bradley Nowell, was primed for the biggest success of their career with the release of their self-titled album, but on May 25, 1996, a few months before the album’s release, Nowell tragically died from a drug overdose.

In the wake of Nowell’s death, the band went on to have a series of radio hits, including “What I Got,” “Santeria,” and “Wrong Way,” eventually pushing the group’s self-titled album to sales of more than 18 million copies in the U.S.

Former members Wilson and Gaugh re-emerged with a new band, the Long Beach Dub Allstars, in 1997 with a variety of other contributors, many of whom had ties to Sublime, but that band disbanded in 2002.

In 2009, the surviving members of the band regrouped with singer-guitarist Rome Ramirez as Sublime with Rome, but Gaugh left the band shortly after they released their 2011 album Yours Truly.

In late 2023, Gaugh reunited with Wilson and Nowell’s son Jakob to reform Sublime and has been performing under that name since.
