Donald Trump has fallen for a fake Denzel Washington MAGA endorsement in which the Oscar winner seemingly called him “a great friend and an even better president.”
Taking to his social media platform Truth Social on Monday, the 80-year-old president reposted a bizarre quote which claimed to be from the Training Day actor, 71. But sadly for Trump, Hollywood A-lister Denzel Washington has never been quoted making a public in his honor.
The embarrassing blunder comes as ABC World News Tonight fans fear that Trump is leading the American people into another war following his comments that he will consider joining Saudi Arabia in striking Houthis.

“BOOM: Denzel Washington: “I’ve worked with a lot of people in my life, and I’ve never met anyone braver, smarter, or who cares more about America than Donald Trump," the fake news post read.
"He’s a great friend and an even better president. I’m proud to be a steadfast supporter and I’ll never apologize for it."
The upload ended with a question which read, “Do you agree with Denzel? YES or NO?"

Mirror US has reached out to Washington's rep for comment.
Gladiators actor Washington has remained fairly coy when it comes to talking politics and sharing his stance.
In November 2016, the star appeared in a similar fake news scandal in which an article claimed he had backed Trump and criticized Barack Obama.
At the time, his publicist confirmed the reports as "100% complete fabrication".
In 2024, Washington argued the public is being manipulated by both sides.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, he said, "You know, it’s so easy to stand outside America and say this and that. Turn around, you know? Pick a country. Any one.
"But listen," he added, "It’s all politics. All promises unkept. And now with the information age the way it is — if anything — left, right, whatever had better learn how to use those tools to manipulate the people. There was a great line in the first movie I did, [1981’s] Carbon Copy: ‘Power to the people? Yeah, they had it once — it was called the Stone Age.’"
“We’re all slaves to information now. We really are. We’re all slaves. So whatever you feel about the leaders, like this guy’s crazy or the other one is sane, you’d better realize you’re being manipulated by both sides. Period,” Washington said.
