DWTS evicts next couple as viewers flabbergasted after 'wild' coincidence

Dancing with the Stars fans are shocked that two professional dancers added to the cast for Season 35 were eliminated within the first two nights of the show's premiere.
DWTS season 35 kicked off on Tuesday, September 15, and within two nights, the dancing competition has already thrown viewers watching at home for a loop. This season's new pro-dancer Hailey Bills was partnered with Sarah Jane Nader, who is the younger sister of Brooks Nader, who previously competed on an earlier season of DWTS. Many were stoked to see Hailey and Sarah Jane paired together, since they're one of the few same-sex pairings in DWTS history, alongside JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson in Season 30 and Shangela (Darius Pearce) and pro Gleb Savchenko in Season 31.
However, on Wednesday, September 16, the couple was eliminated after performing the Jive to "Sk8er Boi" by Avril Lavigne. This came after fans demanded that the elimination should be canceled on Tuesday night's episode of DWTS.

Not only was Sarah Jane and debut pro-dancer Hailey given the boot on the second night, but new pro-dancer Adele Zaikman and her partner, reality star Conner Leavitt, were kicked off the show on night one of the season's premiere.
DWTS viewers were quick to point out the coincidence on X after Wednesday night's eliminations.

One X user commented, "Booting off both the new pros week 1 yall some evil b---es #dwts," as one other commented, "Both new pros getting eliminated first week is wild #DWTS."

"I don't think it's a coincidence both new pros were voted off first either. A lot of people follow this show for the pros too!! #dwts," one X user wrote.
Someone else shared, "#dwts doing a double elimination first week set the new pros up for failure. I feel so bad for Adele and Hailey. Already not a fan of this season," while another social networker penned, "So sad that both new pros are gone already... brutal. #dwts."
Another angry viewer expressed, "Sending BOTH of the new pros home in the first week is a little ridiculous. They should have paired them with someone who at least had a chance of going to mid-season. #dwts."

Sarah Jane revealed her excitement ahead of Season 35 in an exclusive interview with People, admitting that being in a same-sex pairing was "such an honor" to her.
"We were so excited," Sarah Jane said of how she and Hailey felt when they learned they were partners. "We probably hit a new frequency in the dance studio, screaming. We were just beyond thrilled."
Hailey personally shared, "I am so unbelievably excited for this experience, and I could not be more happy with my partner. It's going to be great," with Nader adding, "We're the luckiest girls ever."
