Former Spartan signs new two-way deal with Minnesota Wild

A former Michigan State Spartan has signed a new deal with the Minnesota Wild.

Minnesota announced on Wednesday that they have signed former Spartans forward Jagger Joshua to a two-year, two-way deal. The details of Joshua's deal are $850,000/$260,000 in 2026-27, and $900,000/$290,000 in 2027-28.

Joshua recorded a career-high 26 points (eight goals and 18 assists) this past season with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League this past season. He has appeared in 169 career games across five AHL seasons with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (2022-25) and Rochester (2024-26).

Prior to his professional career, Joshua played four seasons with the Spartans. In his four seasons with the Spartans, he totaled 44 points (21 goals and 23 assists) in 135 career games and earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors as a senior in 2022-23.
