Heather Locklear is reuniting with cast members from Melrose Place, with boyfriend Lorenzo Lamas by her side.

Locklear and Lamas made an appearance at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Conn., on Sunday, Oct. 18. Locklear, 65, joined a panel about the show at 90s Con, moderated by PEOPLE executive editor Breanne L. Heldman.

While Lamas did not take part in the panel, Daphne Zuniga, Laura Leighton, Grant Show, Rob Estes and Jack Wagner did take the stage for a lively discussion about Melrose Place. The cast recalled favorite moments from the show, took questions from the audience and talked about how “crazy” some of the storylines were.

“There were a couple things that I just sort of went ‘gulp’ when I read the script and thought ‘how can we figure out a way to do that’ or do something that’s like, feels sort of vulnerable or scary or there was a couple times when I asked about stuff like, ‘Do I have to do this sort of thing?” but the answer is ‘Yes, you have to.’ I did sort of learn to just kind of f--k up and figure it out,” Leighton shared.

Locklear admitted that through the insane storylines, she “went home and I took a nap and I felt grounded.”

“I mean it was, that was silly things,” Locklear shared.

Melrose Place debuted in July 1992, on Fox, and was a spinoff of Beverly Hills, 90210 (and, like that show, a creation of Darren Star and executive producer Aaron Spelling).

The show wasn’t initially a huge success until Locklear’s Amanda Woodward became a series regular at the start of the second season.

Following her role on Melrose Place, Locklear starred in the Michael J. Fox series Spin City from 1999 to 2002. Other roles have included Hot in Cleveland, Franklin & Bash and the 2024 Lifetime movie Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: The Ruby Franke Story.

During the panel, Estes recalled that some of his favorite scenes from the TV show were with Locklear, and shared that “my favorite, romantic or sexual scene was with Heather. It wasn’t Heather, it was Amanda,” he said, making reference to her character, Amanda Woodward.

“I already had a crush on Heather and Amanda. It was just funny that was her. It was cool too because back then, I think it was a little more relaxed. Like we’d have fun and joke and it’s like now is a different time. Now there’s a lot of people on set that, you know, things happen a certain way, and fair enough. I think we were all so comfortable with each other. Um, so for a lot of the love scenes...it was just fun,” Estes shared.

Locklear and Lamas, 68, began dating months back, according to TMZ, which first reported the news in April, sharing photos of the couple together in Las Vegas.

Later that month, the actor told Fox News Digital he found love with the actress more than 40 years after they first met, posing together on the cover of Playgirl magazine.

“The short answer is no,” Lamas said when asked if he thought this would happen. “I mean, I’ve been through a lot of trial and error, and she is the most amazing woman that I think I’ve ever met.”

The actress celebrated her 65th birthday on Friday, Sept. 25. Lamas took to Instagram to post a photograph of the couple in bright white outfits, with Locklear sporting a cowboy hat as they cut into her birthday cake together.

“Happy Birthday to my Queen today,” theRenegade alum wrote. “I jumped in to help cause it’s the only cake we’ll be cutting together 🤣.”
