Hugh Grant Gives Thumbs Up as He Arrives at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Star-Studded N.Y.C. Wedding

Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Eberstein were spotted arriving at Madison Square Garden for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding on Friday, July 3

The actor gave a thumbs up to a crowd of fans when one person shouted his name from across the streets in N.Y.C.

Other stars have begun arriving for the expected ceremony, like Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper and Ed Sheeran

Hugh Grant and Anna Eberstein are celebrating Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's big day.

PEOPLE spotted the actor, 65, and his wife, 43, arriving at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, July 3 as Swift and Kelce's wedding gets underway.

Grant looked suave in a classic tuxedo as he helped Eberstein, who wore her hair up and a backless black dress with dark red details, navigate the entrance of the arena, where streets are blocked off with NYPD and private security for the big event.

At one point as the couple was arriving at Madison Square Garden, an onlooker shouted, "Hugh! Hugh!" and called to get the actor's attention. Grant offered a friendly thumbs up toward the crowd and kept walking with Eberstein towards the entrance, where security is tight.

Celebrities have started descending on Madison Square Garden as the highly anticipated ceremony begins. So far, celebs like Jack Antonoff, Swift's frequent collaborator and close friend, longtime pal and model Gigi Hadid (with actor boyfriend Bradley Cooper) were seen on their way, and Verity star Dakota Johnson was also photographed en route in a black dress.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit starMariska Hargitay — who wore a long, black dress — and her husband, Peter Hermann, were also spotted making their way to the venue.

Grant and Swift have been friends for years, so it's no surprise he came to celebrate her big day. In 2024, after he attended the second Eras Tour show in London, he posted, "Dear @taylorswift13. You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team," Grant said, before giving a shoutout to Kelce, calling him an "excellent if gigantic boyfriend."

“As a long time Hugh Grant stan this tweet is very important to my culture,” she replied on X.

When Swift was on Late Night with Seth Meyers in October 2025, she shared an embarrassing moment her soon-to-be husband had with Grant and Eberstein at the concert.

The Chiefs star apparently thought Eberstein was director Greta Gerwig and congratulated her on the success of the movie Barbie. It wasn't until he was recapping his evening with Swift that they realized his mixup.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, announced their engagement last August. They made their relationship public in October 2023.
