Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster had a ball during their Broadway date night.
On Tuesday, April 14, the couple headed out to the theater, attending CATS: The Jellicle Ball at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City.
PEOPLE has exclusive backstage photos of Jackman and Foster posing with members of the company.
The bold new revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic musical reimagines the feline characters from T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats as members of the Harlem Ballroom scene, the vibrant underground LGBTQ+ subculture created by Black and Latinx queer and trans people that rose to prominence in the 1980s.
Since opening earlier this month to critical raves, CATS: The Jellicle Ball has quickly become one of the hottest destinations on the Main Stem, with stars like Zendaya, John Legend, Whoopi Goldberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ian McKellen, Matthew Broderick, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jinkx Monsoon among those who have stopped by.

Jackman, 57, and Foster, 51, now can add their names to the list.
“They were raving about the show,” a source on the scene tells PEOPLE. “Since both of them are trained dancers, they were completely in love with the ensemble, who are a blend of traditional theater dancers and dancers from the world of Ballroom."
"Sutton was especially excited about the fans distributed to select audience members, and how much fun and excitement they added to the show," the insider added.
That affection was clear in the pictures, snapped by photographer Luis Suarez.
One photo was taken as the pair smiled with Ken Ard, who originated the role of Macavity in 1982 at the Winter Garden Theatre and returns in this new production as DJ Griddlebone. Another captured Jackman and Foster alongside ballroom icon and pioneer Junior LaBeija, who plays Gus the Theatre Cat.

Jackman is back on stage these days, reuniting with Ella Beatty for an encore production of their Off-Broadway hit, Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes.
Playing in repertory at the Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City, the play stars Jackman as Jon — an acclaimed novelist, charismatic university professor and middle-aged man who meets Beatty's Annie, a 19-year-old star student and huge fan of Jon's work. Soon, their "undeniable attraction draws them into dangerous territory" and "down the most slippery of slopes" that will have audiences questioning their perspective throughout.
Foster has been spotted in the audience, supporting Jackman.
The two met when they starred together in the 2022 revival of The Music Man. In January 2025, PEOPLE confirmed their romance in January 2025. They officially made their red carpet debut as a couple in October 2025, at the Los Angeles premiere of Jackman's film, Song Sung Blue.
