PEOPLE confirmed Jim Carrey and Min Ah’s marriage in late September
A source tells PEOPLE that the two have lived together at his Los Angeles home for several years
“They live a very low-key life,” the source says of the newlyweds
Jim Carrey is enjoying newlywed life.
A spokesperson for the actor and comedian, 64, confirmed to PEOPLE on Wednesday, Sept. 30, that he married his longtime girlfriend, Min Ah. TMZ was first to report the marriage.
A source tells PEOPLE that Carrey and Min Ah live a “low-key life,” and have been living together at Carrey’s Los Angeles home for several years.
“They live a very low-key life,” the source says. “She’s close with his daughter and they spend time together as a family.”

Carrey shares daughter Jane, 39, with ex-wife Melissa Womer, whom he was married to from 1987 to 1995. He was also previously married to his Dumb and Dumber costar Lauren Holly from 1996 until 1997.
The source tells PEOPLE that Carrey “seems very happy” whenever Min Ah is with him.
“When he attends major events, she’s by his side,” the source says. “Whenever they’re out together, he seems very happy.”

Carrey publicly expressed his love and gratitude for his now-wife in February during a speech, given entirely in French, at the César Awards in Paris, where he received an honorary award. TheBruce Almighty star affectionately called her his “sublime companion.”
“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah,” he said in French, as his daughter, grandson and girlfriend received ovations from the crowd. “I love you, Min Ah. And finally, thank you to the funniest man I have ever known: my father, Percy Joseph Carrey who taught me the value of love, generosity, and laughter.”
The pair were first spotted together four years earlier in February 2022 as they left a charity comedy show hosted by Judd Apatow at Largo in Los Angeles, per photos published by Just Jared.

In April that year, Carrey opened up about his desire to live life out of the spotlight, even joking at the time that he might quit acting to enjoy his “quiet life.”
“I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life, and I feel like — and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists — I have enough,” the Ace Ventura: Pet Detective star told Access Hollywood.
