Johnny Knoxville is game for any Jackass stunts — except anything involving his head.

Asked in a Syndicate X Library video interview if he was allowed to do stunts for the upcoming Jackass 5, the 54-year-old actor-writer explained, “I can't do anything where I can get another concussion.”

Knoxville added that he’s “way over my limit for concussions.” In terms of slapstick stunts, he said, “I don't care about anything else. I just can't get hit in the head anymore.”

The fifth Jackass movie, from Paramount Pictures, is scheduled for a June 26 release. On Jan. 7, Knoxville shared a new photo of himself on Instagram and an image of his TV-to-movie franchise's logo with a graphic showing the release date.

Knoxville and original cast members Steve-O, Dave England, Wee Man, Chris Pontius and Preston Lacy first starred in the MTV series in 2000; they last reunited for 2022's Jackass Forever.

During production on that fourth big-screen installment, Knoxville suffered from brain damage after he was rammed by a bull for a stunt. The performer later said in a Howard Stern interview that doctors told him he "cannot take any more hits to the head" moving forward.

“A lot of other guys” in the Jackass cast can handle concussions, Knoxville said on Syndicate X Library. The prank stunts, he added, are “pure hell for the cast, but they're a lot of fun for me. So I’m very excited about that.”

It's been an eventful couple of months for Knoxville, who announced this past November that he tied the knot with costume designer Emily Ting. He now hosts Fox reality show Fear Factor: House of Fear, which premiered on Wednesday, Jan. 14. Among his upcoming screen projects is starring in the Gregg Araki-directed I Want Your Sex, premiering at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.

Jackass 5 is in theaters June 26.
