Jordan Eubanks found new life after The Hills. Eubanks had a recurring role on the first season of the reality TV show and would frequently lead hijinks with best friend and co-star Brian Drolet.
On the show, Eubanks, 41, was in a relationship with Heidi Montag Pratt until their split at the end of the season. Eubanks was only on one season of the show, but the impact it had on his life remained with him.
He says that since leaving The Hills, he and co-star Drolet "remain real best friends."
"When we moved to LA, we were just bright-eyed and bushy-tailed two guys thinking that we were gonna make all these movies and do all these things. We had so many plans, and then The Hills was a curveball for us. Came out of nowhere. We just kind of fell into the crowd, and it was crazy."
The Hills premiered in 2006 and followed the personal lives of Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad, Montag Pratt, Brody Jenner and Whitney Port. It also featured Spencer Pratt, Lo Bosworth, Jason Wahler, Stephanie Pratt, Justin Brescia, Frankie Delgado and Kristin Cavallari.
He says after the show, he and Drolet were in a "unique position" because "we didn't really sign exclusive contracts with The Hills," allowing them to "own our rights."
After leaving the show, Eubanks and Drolet went on to "make a couple of movies and a lot of creative endeavors."
"We started a painting business we were working on, and then that morphed into Wall Kicks, which was three-dimensional sneaker art that we were painting and put on people's walls. That was the moment for us that it clicked in that we were bringing everything together: our filmmaking, our television experience and our artistic passions, because him and I both were big painters, we were able bring all of our talents together, and Wall Kicks allowed me to know that I can create something," Eubanks says.

Eubanks had another idea for a business, but didn't know yet how to bring it to life. After The Hills, he had the idea to put a football helmet on top of his Christmas tree. From that idea stemmed LightHeaded, a sports memorabilia company. Drolet became the company's director of production.

"Two and a half years ago, my buddy who used to live in LA with me called me and said, 'Hey, we need to rekindle LightHeaded. We're older. We have more of the chops now to be able to lead this company, and what are you thinking?' I'm like, 'Let's do it,' " he recalls. "We knew we had a great idea, so we just started working every day. I moved to Texas, and I spent the last year and a half here, and we got this thing off the ground."
He shares that he's been "bouncing back and forth to a lot of creative endeavors."
Looking back on his experience on The Hills, Eubanks says, "I think I was blessed."
"The Hills gave me a platform and certainly opened the doors for me to a lot of different people, and I formed a lot of different relationships," he continues. "I was a kid that didn't really relate to school that much. I was always doodling in my binders and not really paying attention just because school wasn't for me. I was more of an artistic brain, and you can go out, and you can be creative, and I would say that I was in the gutter creatively from 20 to 40."
He says "it takes a long time" to figure out what you want to do with your life, but "you can get there like anybody."

"You don't have to have everything figured out, especially in the world we live in today, things are changing so fast, and you have to be able to adapt to them," he adds.
Eubanks tells PEOPLE he had a son three years ago with his partner, Angel Eubanks. He shares that "he's the best thing in the world."
Eubanks now lives in Texas, and while he shares that he doesn't know what the next few years are going to look like, he affirms, "I just never gave up."
"Creatively, I moved on, but the film industry is something that I'm still really passionate about, and I will be making a return to that because, that's what I moved out to LA for initially," Eubanks shares. "Not so much as the front of the camera, it was more creating different stories and storytelling."
