- *Big Brother* host Julie Chen Moonves gives her take on the latest evicted houseguest.
- The Chenbot also shares her opinion on if Devens made the right move by playing his Diamond Power of Veto.
- We also ask the host about the show’s landmark 1,000th episode.
*Each week, *Big Brother *host *Julie Chen Moonves *will weigh in exclusively with ** on the latest events inside the house. This week, she reacts to Kamu’s eviction, *Rick Devens*’ Diamond Power of Veto, *Angela*’s Block Buster win, and the show’s 1000**th** episode*
**: Kamu said over the past few days that he thought he had the votes to stay even if he lost the Block Buster, but he ended up being voted out 8-1. What was his ultimate undoing in the game?**
**JULIE CHEN MOONVES: **Targeting Dee too soon! Right now, she has the numbers on her side. She has a rock solid two with Devens and Angela. His rock solid is only Yash, but Yash, as with *all* Head of Households, can only nominate. HOHs can’t control the vote. We saw that when Haley was HOH, and she was blindsided by the house voting to keep Melody and evicting Lyric instead.
In *Big Brother*, timing is everything. Take your shot when the time is right, not when you feel betrayed by someone.

Kamu Kirk on ‘Big Brother’ season 28.
**Devens used his Diamond Power of Veto to save Dee. But that also means he can’t use it to save himself next week should he need it. And he also outed himself and Dee as being super-close allies, which could have long-term ramifications as far as their threat level. Balancing out all those considerations, what do you make of his move?**
I’m of two minds. On one hand, had he not used it (and had Dee been left sitting on the block after the Block Buster competition), I’m pretty sure she would’ve been evicted. So let’s say that happened, would that mean curtains to soon follow for Devens? Not necessarily. I think he sold himself and his ability to win over people in the house short. On the other hand, by saving Dee he kept a pretty big shield and loyal ally in the game.
But is Dee a true BB “comp beast?” *Big Brother* competitions are a whole other animal than *Survivor* challenges. His loyalty to Dee is to be admired, but as we always tell new houseguests, *Big Brother* is ultimately a game of one. The same people who are your allies are still your competition for $750,000.

Rick Devens on ‘Big Brother’ season 28.
**Not only did Angela win the very difficult BB Block Buster, but she appeared to be putting in and removing extra balls for no reason… and STILL won. How surprising was that performance?**
Pretty shocking. She was up against Haley, a former Division 1 softball player, and Kamu, a Mixed Martial Arts fighter… both who have to have elite hand/eye coordination skills! But even more than shocking, I would say her win was exhilarating, exciting and so fun to watch. You go girl!

Angela Murray on ‘Big Brother’ on season 28.
**Finally, you have your 1,000th episode coming up on Thursday. What can you tell us about the big extravaganza?**
We are going to be making TV history! It’s truly a humbling “expect the unexpected” moment for all of us at *Big Brother*. In my mind, it’s going to be like a high school reunion… except everyone at home watching doesn’t have to worry about what they’re going to wear, how they’re going to look, *and* they’re probably going to have an even better time than those who attend and are at/on the show! LOL!
Plus, after we get off the air, we are having a huge party, and every former houseguest got an invitation. I can’t wait. Stay tuned!
