Kate Middleton wore her hair in a ponytail for her latest royal engagement on September 30.
The Princess of Wales paired the unexpected style with a monochrome gray look.

The Princess of Wales, 44, wore her hair in a sleek ponytail for a visit with the West Sussex Minibus on September 30. She paired the unexpected ‘do with a monochrome gray look complete with a wool coat from Jigsaw, a silk tie-neck blouse from Reiss, and long pleated trousers.
The all-gray ensemble was topped off with burgundy accessories, including a Victoria Beckham belt, a leather Smythson purse, and Gianvito Rossi heels. She also added some shimmer with pearl earrings and a sparkly ring stack.

Kate visited the West Sussex Minibus in honor of its 50th anniversary. Per People, it’s a “volunteer-led community transport organization in Pulborough, England, that helps people stay connected and combat social isolation.”

Her first minibus stop of the day was to the home of a 94-year-old woman named Stella Drewett. Drewett didn’t know the princess would stop by and was just told that she’d be joined by a VIP guest. “When they said ‘It will be a celebrity,’ I said ‘I don’t know any celebrities.’” Drewett joked, per the BBC.

During a lunch at the Pulborough Village Hall, Kate chatted with other members and one woman, Lynda Jones, spoke quite highly of her. According to the Mirror, Jones said that Kate was “very natural, very beautiful. She looked at the crisps, so I let her have one. She said these are the ones she buys when she goes shopping…the salted ones. She was lovely.”
Alan Jenkins, trustee at West Sussex Minibus, also spoke with BBC Radio Sussex about Kate. “She’s done a fantastic job talking to our members,” Jenkins said. “It’s really to promote what our volunteers do for the slightly older generation, which is fantastic. She’s done a great job, and we’re so pleased to have her here.”
