Kim Kardashian is reacting to the backlash her daughter, North West, received after debuting a new look on TikTok
North, 12, wore fake face tattoos, a nose piercing and grillz in a series of posts shared on social media last weekend
"This is such a non-issue 😭," Kardashian commented in response to a critique of her daughter's latest look
Kim Kardashian is defending her daughter North West’s latest look.
North, 12, was seen wearing fake body modifications alongside her friends, who were also wearing faux face tattoos, in several clips posted on her TikTok account shared with Kardashian, 45, last weekend.
The SKIMS mogul spoke out about her daughter's appearance after the footage of North wearing fake face tattoos, a nose piercing and grillz sparked outrage.
"North West, 12, worries fans with new look," Daily Mail Australia captioned a TikTok video. One person responded, “How about go be a kid," while another chimed in, “She’s 12 years old by the way,” and a third wrote, “This is just sad.”
The Kim and North joint TikTok account responded to the backlash in the comment section of the clip, “This is such a non-issue 😭.”

Noth West sporting fake face tattoos on TikTok
Kardashian — who shares children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm with her ex-husband Kanye "Ye" West — recently spoke about North’s fashion choices during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Oct. 15.
"She's really mature in one sense where she'll be like, 'Mom, I saw this and I don't really care that they don't like... my blue hair or this or that,” said Kardashian, adding, “She's really confident…”
The mother of four also discussed the difficulties of navigating being a parent to a preteen, while admitting that she has made some mistakes and asked for a “little bit of grace.”
"I'm like, okay, we're never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world," Kardashian said. “As a mom, you're kind of like learning at the same time."

Kardashian’s comments came after she received criticism for letting North wear a dermal piercing on her middle finger while out in Rome in September.
Despite the backlash, the mom of four championed North on the podcast for following her own path when it comes to fashion and beauty.
"I've had those conversations with North about makeup because she loves her lip liner," said Kardashian. She also shared that North is taking classes in special effects makeup, which she has been “perfecting.”
