During the podcast, Damon offered Jason some sweet parenting advice
Matt Damon knows how much life can pass you by in the blink of an eye.
The Odyssey star, 55, made an appearance on the latest episode of Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, during which he discussed an important thing he and Jason, 38, have in common — fatherhood.
Like the former Philadelphia Eagles star, Damon is a father of four girls — Alexia, 25, Isabella, 19, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15 — with his wife, Luciana Damon.

Jason shares daughters Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, who turns 1 in March, with his wife, Kylie Kelce.
During the podcast's final segment, Travis, 36, asked Damon what his "best piece of girl dad advice" was for Jason.
"Man, I got nothing. I got nothing for you. You're in it. You're in it," Damon replied. "Before we started, I heard the kids in the back. I was like 'oh my God.' "

Jason admitted that when he is asked the same question, he responds, "Don't listen to any advice anybody else gives," because "they're all so different."
Damon said that he used to be the kind of dad who was really into the "nature-nurture argument," but he's now all about "nature."
"Your kids show up — like that spirit that soul is there, and it's going to do what it's going to do. The nurture part is very important; you're going to be helping with that, but they really are who they are right away. "

He then offered the same advice his friend had given him when his daughter Isabella was 18 months old — "Don't blink."
"That s--- is real," said Damon. "My daughter [Gia] broke her collarbone, and this morning she was getting ready for school. She's 17, and she asked me to brush her hair. And so I brushed her hair, and I mean, I hadn't brushed her hair [in] I don't know eight, nine, years?"
Damon reminded Jason, "You're at that stage now where you get them ready."
"I don't remember when I brushed her [Gia] hair for the last time," said Damon. "It just kind of happened and then life kind of kept going. The changes are so incremental that you don't realize until I ran the hairbrush through her hair, and it's the same, like all of it. You know what I mean?"
The realization was one that "buckled" Damon.
"So don't blink," he said.
