Michaela Coel has been having a blast with her style recently. While promoting her new film The Christophers, our March 2026 cover star has been spotted on the streets of New York City in everything from Chanel to Ferragamo to Colleen Allen and more, treating us to a verified fashion feast. And with the Mother Mary press tour kicking off last night, it appears Coel’s style streak isn’t slowing down any time soon.
For a screening of her new musical drama at the Metrograph Theater on Monday evening, Coel arrived in a draped jacquard top and wide-leg slacks, pulled from the Givenchy Fall/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear collection.

The straight-off-the-runway look centered around a blush-colored halter top, which was embroidered with renderings of flowers and vines that snaked across the material like it was a trellis.

As for the silhouette, the silky blouse featured a high neck and cinched waist, with flowing asymmetrical material along the bottom hem. It also featured two attached ruffles on the side, which Coel stuck her hands into, treating them like muffs (just as the model originally did on the runway).

To match her black slacks, the Emmy winner wore a pair of inky heeled sandals, and she completed her look with silver pavé-diamond hoop earrings. She also tied her hair up into an artful twisted knot for a final touch.

In Mother Mary, Coel portrays a fashion designer who begins a complicated psychosexual relationship with a famous pop singer (played by Anne Hathaway). In her cover story for Bazaar last month, Coel described transforming into the character of Sam Anselm, saying: “I ate her soul. I swallowed it whole. It tasted so powerful and so sad and also crunchy.”
As for what fans can expect from Mother Mary? Coel noted: “This is for the addicts, the obsessed addicts for whom creativity has bitten their necks.”
