Patricia Arquette had a milestone birthday to remember.
The actress, 57, recalled the unique way her friends celebrated her 40th birthday during an interview with Deadline on the red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11, in Los Angeles.
When asked about her favorite awards show memory, she recalled David Niven being interrupted by a streaker at the Oscars in 1974.
"That was such a pivotal part of my childhood," Arquette said. "Sports games, streakers, award shows, streakers, political conventions, streakers. Little kids would go streaking. It was just a funny, bizarre part of the '70s that if you didn't grow up in that time period, you're like, 'What?' "

"People were just running around naked," the actress said. "I've always thought streaking was hilarious, even though I'm incredibly modest."
The Severance star added that her fascination with streakers came to play on one of her major birthdays.
"For my 40th birthday, some friends of mine, about 40 of them, streaked around me," Arquette said.
The actress has won several Golden Globe awards throughout her career. She won her first in 2014 for Boyhood, followed by wins for Escape at Dannemora in 2018 and The Act in 2019.
She is also currently starring as Harmony Cobel in Apple TV+’s Severance.

Arquette also played Maggie Murdaugh in the Murdaugh: Death in the Family miniseries on Hulu in 2025.
In November, the actress exclusively told PEOPLE about entering a new chapter of her life. "I'm at a really exciting moment in my life," she said. "My kids are grown up, I'm single, I don't have to take anybody else's dreams into account as far as: where do I want to live? What do I want my house to look like? Can I go on this vacation with my girlfriend or not?"
"I get to ask myself for the first time in my life — because I was a mom at 20 — what do I want to do?" said the mom-of-two.
