While Charles reportedly wants to rebuild ties with his younger son, Camilla remains wary of how far that reconciliation should go.

The King’s desire to spend more time with Archie and Lilibet has reportedly played an important role in his approach. The children recently reunited with their grandfather after several years apart.

Camilla’s concerns reportedly intensified after Harry and Meghan’s private meeting with Charles at Highgrove in July. According to a source cited by New Idea, Camilla stayed close to Charles throughout the reunion and wanted to ensure the meeting remained private. The reported conditions included no cameras, no social media posts and no discussion of the meeting in later interviews.

The source claimed Camilla wanted to protect Charles from further public scrutiny while creating boundaries for any future contact between the Sussexes and the Royal Family. “She made it clear that this was for Archie and Lilibet,” the source alleged, adding that any leak about the private meeting could jeopardize future efforts at reconciliation.

Meghan later shared photos from the family’s summer trip, appearing to show Harry, Archie, and Lilibet at Althorp, Princess Diana’s ancestral home. The post reportedly frustrated Camilla because it appeared to clash with the privacy expectations around the family’s reunion with Charles.
