Robert Duvall has died at age 95
The Oscar-winning actor used Facebook to post updates from his life
His recent video posts included well wishes to fans for āa great year coming upā
Robert Duvall has left behind a legacy of powerful screen work following his death at age 95, announced on Monday, Feb. 16.
The actor also left sweet messages to fans on his Facebook page. In a Nov. 26 video shared to the platform, Duvall addressed the camera with well wishes to send off 2025.
āTo all my fans, have a happy, happy Thanksgiving, and a great year coming up,ā said the Oscar winner, dressed in a vest and polo shirt. āGod bless.ā

The Apocalypse Now star's wife Luciana announced the news that he had passed on Monday, announcing in a Facebook post, "Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort."
She added, "To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything.ā
Duvall routinely used Facebook to offer glimpses of his day-to-day. After his Thanksgiving message, the star shared a video on Dec. 5 showcasing his commitment to exercise well into his nineties. āI enjoy having a routine,ā he captioned a video of him intently doing bicep curls with a weight.
āThough I never went to the gym to get in shape for films,ā added the Godfather star. āI preferred tennis, swimming, or horseback riding to keep me in shape.ā

On Jan. 4, the day before he turned 95, Duvall posted a sweet video montage of old pictures of him and a recent clip of him biting into a cookie. āLuciana surprised me with this wonderful birthday video in preparation for tomorrow's big 95! Thank you all for the support all of these years,ā he captioned it.
Duvallās last screen credit was the Christian Bale-starring 2022 film The Pale Blue Eye. He is survived by his wife.
