For celebrities with twin siblings, their built-in BFFs share more than just DNA — they've accompanied each other on red carpets, like Scarlett Johansson and her "younger" brother Hunter Johansson and Ashton Kutcher and his brother Michael Kutcher.

Meanwhile, others have shared the stage or even split the same role as kids. Plenty more have opted for a quieter life out of the spotlight.

Regardless of whether their twin is also in Hollywood, many entertainers have acknowledged that their sibling was an integral part in shaping their identity.

Rami Malek, for example, said during a 2015 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he and brother Sami Malek "were troublemakers as kids."

From supermodel Gisele Bündchen — who celebrates her sister, Patricia Bündchen, on social media — to the acting Ashmore brothers, here are a few celebrities who share a birthday (and even their good looks) with a twin sibling.

Many fans discovered Rami had an identical twin brother when he brought his lookalike, Sami, to the 2019 Golden Globes, where Rami won Best Actor for his turn in 2018's Bohemian Rhapsody as rock star Freddie Mercury. (He later earned Best Actor for the role at the Academy Awards.)

While the two aren't often seen together in public, during an October 2018 appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Rami opened up about his relationship with his brother, now a teacher, when they were younger — specifically, the time in college when Sami asked him to switch places.

"We were bad, bad, bad boys. We helped each other out in certain situations," the Nuremberg star said. "I was coming back from acting school, and he said, 'Listen, my teacher has offered me the points I will need to graduate. I just have to deliver a Greek monologue from a Greek tragedy. What are the chances you know a Greek tragedy?' I said, 'Actually, I just did this in my final year in school, so yeah, give me a shot.' "

The duo also have a sister, Yasmine Malek, who is a doctor.

Gisele and her fraternal twin sister, Patricia, are understandably inseparable, as evidenced on Gisele's social accounts, where she regularly praises her sibling.

To celebrate their joint 44th birthday in on July 20, 2024, the supermodel posted a photo of the pair on Instagram with the caption, "Grateful to be celebrating one more year around the sun with my super sis. Thank you everyone for all the love and birthday wishes. Feeling blessed to be surrounded by so much love. Looking forward to what is ahead!"

Scarlett Johansson and Hunter Johansson

Scarlett shares a "super close" bond with her brother, who she's older than by three minutes.

"Of course, we know so much about each other because we were like … you're in utero together," the Jurassic World: Rebirth star told co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos during a November 2024 appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark. "Which, I'm like, 'Oh yeah, I guess I've always had you around.' "

One of their strongest connections stems from the fact that, as children, finding knick-knacks and souvenirs with their names on them was nearly impossible.

"There were definitely no 'Scarletts. Certainly no 'Hunters,' " the Oscar-winning actress said in January 2025 on the Today show before adding, "A couple of years ago, we were in Montauk out on Long Island at one of those surf shops. We found mini keychain surfboards. One said 'Scarlett' and the other 'Hunter.' I swear, we legit cried."

Living a quiet life outside the spotlight, Hunter is an activist who founded the Solar Responders, a nonprofit that helps install solar power and battery storage in fire stations in Puerto Rico, in 2018.

Much like his character Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious movies, Vin Diesel (né Mark Sinclair Vincent) is just as committed to his family off-screen, including the three children he shares with partner Paloma Jiménez, as well as his siblings, sister Samantha Vincent, brother Tim Vincent and fraternal twin brother Paul Vincent.

Diesel has praised Paul, a sound editor, as a devoted father.

"Happy Birthday to my original twin brother Paul! I have watched you grow into such a wonderful dad and family man," Diesel captioned a post of the two on Instagram in July 2016. "You have made me proud every step of the way. We love you!"

Parker Posey grew up close to her twin brother, Chris Posey. In her first book, You're on an Airplane: A Self-Mythologizing Memoir, The White Lotus actress shared that growing up as part of a set had a deep impact on her.

"Being a twin is confusing," Parker wrote in the 2018 memoir (via Vulture). "I recognize a particular loneliness and confusion when I meet other female twins — a puzzled disillusionment."

Chris works as a lawyer in Mississippi, per his LinkedIn profile. The pair were born in Baltimore and raised in Laurel, Miss., now famously the locale at the center of HGTV's Home Town.

The younger sisters of award-winning music producer Mark Ronson might be twins, but the siblings couldn't be more different as far as their careers are concerned.

Charlotte Ronson is a fashion designer with multiple boutiques in N.Y.C., widely acclaimed by celebrities such as Gisele, Gwen Stefani and Winona Ryder.

Sister Samantha Ronson followed in her brother's footsteps into music and became a DJ. She also broadened her scope into cooking and writing. As an amateur chef and scribe, she wrote a monthly column for Family Style titled "Tate Matters."

In October 2011, Charlotte told The New York Times about her sister, who lived in L.A. while she was based in New York, "I just hire her for things so I can hang out with her."

The brother of Jagged Little Pill singer Alanis Morissette shares his sister's passion for music, though Wade Morissette has embraced a slightly different sound than his chart-topping sister. He performs kirtan music, a form of devotional singing, which aligns with his work as a certified yoga instructor.

The siblings co-authored a book about their mutual passion for yoga, Transformative Yoga: Five Keys to Unlocking Inner Bliss, in 2009.

In June 2020, Alanis shared a selfie on Instagram that the pair took during their "birthday hike" (shown above), wishing her "angel twin" a happy birthday in the caption.

Noah Schnapp is close to his twin sister, Chloe Schnapp, as evidenced by their social media accounts, where they often post shout-outs to each other on their birthdays and share photos from fun outings.

So it was no surprise that when the Stranger Things star came out as gay in January 2023, he went to his sister first.

"I can't tell anyone else before I tell my own twin sister — she'll kill me," he told Variety later that year, adding, "She was ecstatic. She was like, 'Oh, he'll be my best friend.' "

Rather than acting, Chloe is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration at Northeastern University in Boston, where she's expected to graduate in 2026, per her LinkedIn profile. She also creates content on TikTok.

Actress and activist Laverne Cox made a name for herself on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black, but few fans realized that during her character arc, she got a helping hand from her brother, M Lamar.

In a flashback scene revealing Sophia's backstory, Lamar played the role of Marcus, Sophia before transitioning.

"They started bringing in actors, standing them next to me, and photographing us together. They were these butch Black men, and I was like, 'This is off,' " Cox told HuffPost Live in July 2013, adding, "They eventually ended up having auditions. The casting director found out I had a twin brother, and she insisted that he audition for the role."

When he isn't working with his sister, Lamar is a composer, performer, activist and artist renowned for his operatic countertenor voice. He was also a cast member on season 1 of ABC's competition reality show Claim to Fame in 2022, going by the name "X."

Kiefer Sutherland and Rachel Sutherland

The offspring of late film icon Donald Sutherland and actress Shirley Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland and twin sister Rachel Sutherland were destined for Hollywood. So, it's no surprise that the twins carved careers for themselves in front of and behind the camera.

Kiefer started as a kid actor before making a splash as bully Ace Merrill in the 1986 coming-of-age drama Stand By Me. Thanks to roles in The Lost Boys (1987), Young Guns (1988) and Flatliners (1990), it was only a matter of time before the actor became a leading man.

However, it was his role as Jack Bauer in 24 that made him a household name.

Despite all his success, Kiefer still depended on his sister to be his rock, and she always had his back.

"Being a twin taught me the value of having a companion. Every time I experienced something, I could turn to my left and share it," Kiefer told The Guardian in July 2018.

Unlike her brother, Rachel made a name for herself behind the camera, working in post-production for TV shows such as Rookie Blue and Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent.

Shawn Ashmore and Aaron Ashmore

As identical twin actors, Shawn Ashmore and Aaron Ashmore have covered the gamut of superhero fandom, with one brother joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the other taking the DC route.

On the silver screen, Shawn established the role of Bobby "Iceman" Drake in the X-Men movie franchise, while his lookalike brother Aaron played Jimmy Olsen on Smallville.

Their paths crossed when Shawn was cast on Smallville as Eric Summers for a few episodes, though he initially didn't think he'd get the role.

"I almost didn't audition for it because I thought, 'There's no way that they're going to hire the twin brother of a guy who was heavily featured on the show,' " Shawn told Entertainment Weekly in July 2017.

Luckily, Shawn went to the audition and nabbed the part of the metahuman. He has since starred on The Rookie and in the films It Feeds (2025) and The Huntsman (2026), while Aaron was on Locke & Key, Ginny & Georgia and SkyMed.

Michael Kutcher and Ashton Kutcher

"We're twins ... and I consider him my best friend," Ashton told Pioneer Press in February 2012 of brother Michael, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age 3.

In an appearance on the Paramount+ series The Checkup with Dr. David Agus, Ashton revealed a terrifying and emotional moment when the brothers were kids, and Michael was in the ICU after contracting viral myocarditis.

"I go in the room, and I'm like, 'Whoa,' " Ashton told CNN in December 2022. "I'm like, 'Everything is not okay.' And he flatlines in the room, and I know that noise 'cause now I've been visiting occasionally."

The scare led to a heart transplant for Michael, who is now an advocate for people with disabilities.

Ashton admitted that after his modeling and acting career took off, he felt a lot of guilt, which Michael eventually called him out on.

"He looked at me, and he said, 'Every time you feel sorry for me, you make me less,' " the That '70s Show alum shared during the same interview. "He said, 'This is the only life I've ever known, so stop feeling sorry for the only thing I have.' And that then created an entire shift back to where I think we are today, which is straight up equals again."
