Seth Rogen turned a packed comedy event into a blunt takedown of Kanye West, with Jon Stewart joining in later during his own set. The two comedians mocked the rapper’s recent public comeback while performing at Netflix’s “Netflix Is a Joke” festival in Los Angeles. Their comments quickly became one of the most talked-about moments from the charity-driven show.

Seth Rogen hosted the “Seth Goes Greek” show at the Greek Theatre on Wednesday night as part of Netflix’s comedy festival. The event supported Hilarity for Charity, the Alzheimer’s nonprofit he runs with wife Lauren Miller Rogen. The lineup included Jon Stewart, Nick Kroll, Sarah Silverman, Eric André, Nikki Glaser, Josh Gad, Michael Bublé and Busta Rhymes.

During his opening monologue, Rogen joked about the unusual mix of performers appearing across the festival before bringing up Kanye West’s recent concerts in Los Angeles. Referring to West’s controversial song title, Rogen said, “He had a song called ‘Heil Hitler,’ and he’s back.” He also joked that he once faced more backlash for comments about Jewish people than West did, adding, “I have no number one albums (via The Hollywood Reporter).”

Later in the evening, Stewart also criticized the rapper while discussing antisemitism during his stand-up set. “But seriously, f— that guy,” Stewart said while mocking West’s past comments about Adolf Hitler. He also referenced West’s longtime public feud with comedian Pete Davidson, joking that it made little sense for someone defending Hitler to still be angry at Davidson.

The night included several other celebrity roast-style moments. Sarah Silverman mocked Robert F. Kennedy Jr. while Nick Kroll joked about working with Russell Brand and Sean “Diddy” Combs on Get Him to the Greek. Stewart also poked fun at Los Angeles politics and President Donald Trump during his performance.

Despite the sharp jokes, the event mainly focused on fundraising. Rogen told the audience he books performers simply based on who he personally wants to watch on stage. The charity show also featured music performances, a live magic act, and audience donation drives throughout the night.
