Connor Storrie, 26, made his SNL debut hosting the Feb. 28 episode, fresh off his breakout role in the queer hockey drama Heated Rivalry.

Hudson Williams appeared as a surprise cameo in a sketch set at the Rockefeller Center ice rink, skating directly into Storrie to thunderous audience applause.

The two also reunited on stage to introduce musical guest Mumford & Sons, who performed alongside Hozier.

Connor Storrie made his Saturday Night Live debut on Saturday (February 28, 2026), entering the stage for his monologue to loud cheers. And he wasted absolutely no time leaning into the bit. ā€œNow, some of you may have seen literally all of me on my show,ā€ Storrie opened. ā€œIt’s a show that has taught a lot of people about hockey, and it’s taught a lot of straight women that their sexuality is actually gay guy.ā€ If you weren’t already a fan, consider yourself converted.

Storrie, who admitted to crying when he booked the show, then brought out Quinn and Jack Hughes from the U.S. men’s hockey team and Hilary Knight and Megan Keller from the U.S. women’s hockey team. The men claimed they hadn’t seen the show. The women assured him they absolutely had. Relatable kings, all of them.

But the moment everyone was actually waiting for? The cameo that the internet had been manifesting all week.

Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams quite literally crashed onto the set of Studio 8H during a sketch set at the Rockefeller Center rink. During the sketch, a couple played by Tommy Brennan and Veronika Slowikowska argued after a surprise proposal, only for the man to become increasingly distracted by a group of guys gleefully skating around behind them — Storrie, Mikey Day, and Ben Marshall.

Then, right on cue: Williams skated in and hugged Storrie, drawing cheers from the studio audience. ā€œSorry I’m late, fellas, but I have a serious question: Who’s ready to skate their butts off?ā€ Williams asked. The audience, clearly, was ready.

Later, the group skated in a four-person train, and Williams declared it was the most fun he’d ever had. At the sketch’s end, even the proposal guy abandoned his heartbreak to join them. Honestly, correct decision.

The cameo wasn’t Williams’ only appearance of the night. Williams also joined Storrie in introducing musical guest Mumford & Sons, who were joined by Hozier for their first performance.

None of this should surprise anyone who’s followed the Heated Rivalry press tour. Williams has previously told The Hollywood Reporter, ā€œI have one of my best friends for life right beside me through it all, which is already a luxury that a lot of actors don’t get.ā€ That energy translated perfectly to live TV.

The pair have been on quite the run lately — presenting at the Golden Globes last month and closing February as torchbearers in the 2026 Olympic Torch Relay. As for what’s next: Storrie is in talks with A24 for an ensemble comedy titled Peaked, while Williams reunites with Crave for the drama Yaga alongside Carrie-Anne Moss. And yes, Season 2 of Heated Rivalry begins filming in August 2026.

In the meantime, Shane and Ilya have officially proven they can deliver just as hard on live television as they do on HBO Max. The rink belongs to them now.
