The new season of Survivor is "In the Hands of the Fans" — and it's about to be on their TVs!
The milestone 50th season of the reality competition series features a cast comprised of 24 Survivor all-stars, returning to compete for the $1 million prize.
Fans helped decide elements for Survivor 50, leading to a surprising season, one that was memorable for host Jeff Probst.
“Season 50 is the most fun I've ever had on a season of Survivor,” he told Entertainment Weekly. "The fact that the fans decided the type of gameplay, because that created uncertainty ... every single player fully embraced that uncertainty and played very hard. They left everything they had in them in the jungles of Fiji."
In addition to fans voting on season 50 categories, CBS also celebrated the historic Survivor season with a nationwide immunity idol challenge and a special "Road to 50" marathon of classic episodes.
As new episodes kick off, here's what to know the Survivor 50 release schedule.
When does Survivor 50 premiere?

Survivor 50 premieres on Feb. 25.
Survivor 50 is starting thing off with a beach bash for its players. According to the description for the first episode — titled "Epic Party" — "decisions from the fan vote swiftly and forcefully impact the game."
"Castaways reflect on how much they have changed since the last time they played the game," the official synopsis reads. "Then, an unforeseen injury during the first immunity challenge causes tribemates to rethink their attack strategy in order to support their team member."
What time does Survivor 50 air?

Survivor 50 airs at 8 p.m. ET.

The season premiere will be a special three-hour episode, ending at 11 p.m. ET. Afterward, episodes will be 90 minutes.
The White Lotus creator and former Survivor player Mike White returns for season 50, revealing to PEOPLE that he didn't plan with Angelina Keeley and Christian Hubicki — two of his former David vs. Goliath castmates — who are also back on the Fiji beaches.
"I have a feeling there's a lot of pre-gaming that's gone on, and I haven't participated in it," he said. "We'll see if that is a benefit or a hindrance."
What is the Survivor 50 release schedule?

Survivor 50 premieres Feb. 25 and a total number of episodes has not been confirmed.
Episode air dates and titles for the season have yet to be announced, but according to the network, the premiere will be titled "Epic Party."
Per TV Guide, the release schedule for the first five episodes of Survivor 50 is as follows:
Feb. 25: Episode 1, "Epic Party"
Mar. 4: Episode 2
Mar. 11: Episode 3
Mar. 18: Episode 4
Mar. 25: Episode 5
After fans voted for its return, Survivor 50 will have a live finale, the first for the series since season 39, which ended in December 2019. According to Paramount, it will air on May 20.

Survivor 50 airs on CBS and streams live with the Paramount+ Premium plan.
The latest episode will be available the day after it premieres on Paramount+.
