Last night, the queen of the little white dress and 2025’s sheer-style craze put her two go-to looks together. Kicking off the new year with a fresh take on naked dressing, Sydney Sweeney stepped out in a Cong Tri geometric minidress that was, at once, both daring and elegant.

From strong shoulders, strands and strands of white organza floated down the body like ribbons, delicately—and partially—covering the bodice in parallel waves. The pieces came together at the waist, tied in a knot for a toga-adjacent silhouette, and then effortlessly fell past the hem of the skirt and down to the floor, creating a long, flowing train. The miniskirt was fashioned from the same material, with an extra layer of lining for a bit of coverage.

For the occasion, a W Magazine party, stylist Molly Dickson added an ivory satin handbag and transparent tulle pumps to the actor’s look, creating a monochrome, textured ensemble. Both pieces were pulled from Jimmy Choo, and the shoes, in particular, reflected the linear nature of the dress through delicate ruching.

Sweeney’s blonde bob, styled by Glen Coco Oropeza, also complemented the waves of the dress, parted at the side and treated with a bouncy, old Hollywood ’do. Her rosy makeup look, created by Melissa Hernandez using Armani Beauty, added a bit of pink to the white ensemble.
