TMZ broke the news about Paul's treatment stint on Tuesday, the same day her ex-husband, Tate Paul, filed for a temporary restraining order against the *Secret Lives of Mormon Wives* star. The request was denied Wednesday.

According to a ruling obtained by EW, a Utah court commissioner found that "many of [Tate's] supporting allegations are based upon inadmissible hearsay, without any corroborating evidence." As a result, "The court cannot find an immediate and irreparable harm as contemplated by Rule 65A, and the motion is denied."

Taylor and Tate were married from 2016 to 2022. They share 8-year-old daughter Indy and 6-year-old son Ocean. Taylor also shares a 2-year-old son, Ever, with former partner Mortensen.

She and Mortensen were involved in an investigation earlier this year concerning two alleged domestic violence incidents that were said to have occurred in February, as well as a an alleged third from 2024. Season 5 of *Mormon Wives* paused production amid the investigation.

Paul's relationship with Mortensen faced renewed scrutiny in the weeks leading up to her planned season of *The Bachelorette*, and ABC abruptly pulled the plug on the premiere after video footage from a 2023 altercation between Paul and Mortensen surfaced.

Paul's rep accused Mortensen of leaking the video, telling EW at the time that it was "sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child."

Mortensen released his own statement after the footage emerged. "As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation," he said. "I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny. I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same."

Mortensen was granted custody of Ever the next day and received a temporary restraining order against Taylor.

In April, the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office declined to pursue new criminal charges against Paul, citing a lack of "sufficient evidence" and the expiration of the statute of limitations.
