Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's expected wedding festivities have officially begun, and new photos reveal one of the sweet ways the couple thanked their guests for attending.
The pop star and football player, both 36, hosted a rehearsal dinner at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Thursday, July 2. Guests, including Kelce's close friend Ross Travis, who appeared to be leaving the venue after the celebration, were photographed carrying monogrammed velvet boxes. The images were shared by DeuxMoi on Friday, July 3.
Guests invited to Swift and Kelce's rumored nuptials started trickling into the area earlier this week. Many friends of the groom have been spotted, including Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly Stafford, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and his wife, Claire Kittle, and retired tight end Greg Olsen, at hotels around the couple's reported venue.

Selena Gomez also showed her support for the pair by attending the dinner. She posted a video to her Instagram Stories of herself applying a Rare Beauty lipstick in the back of a car and dressed in a black Oscar de la Renta dress. Swift's close friends Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff and Abigail Anderson were also spotted in addition to Kelce's mother, Donna.
The attire for the evening appeared to be right up Swift's alley as guests were spotted in glitzy attire. As for the wedding day's required wardrobe? Multiple sources told PEOPLE that the dress code for the Big Apple bash on Friday, July 3, is black tie.
Madison Square Garden has also been a flurry of activity ahead of Swift and Kelce's suspected wedding day. Sources on the ground on July 1 have spotted trucks from production companies at the arena's 33rd Street loading dock. Gear spotted being loaded into the venue included white drapes, massive curtains, audio equipment and two towering pyramid structures. Additionally, portable air conditioners to beat the N.Y.C. heat and three mysterious wooden crates labeled "BRANCHES" were seen.

The rumored castle that was speculated to be a part of the venue's transformation was confirmed to not be part of the set-up after all. One source who has seen the situation inside MSG told PEOPLE, "[There's] not a castle but it looks very special. They have grass, carpets, canopies and it looks like a place where you'd get married. There's a stage set up but it's special.”
