- At day 2 of CinemaCon 2026, GKIDS debuted the first footage from *Godzilla Minus Zero*, which saw Godzilla taking on the Statue of Liberty.

- Neon also premiered new footage from *Hope*, *A Place in Hell*, *Hokum*, and more.

- Warner Bros. will present its upcoming slate of films later in the day.

CinemaCon 2026 is in full swing.

On Monday, Sony debuted new footage from *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, *Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse*, *Jumanji: Open World*, *Resident Evil*, and *The Social Reckoning*.

Earlier that day, StudioCanal announced two new *Paddington *movies and an *Escape From New York *reimagining, while Angel Studios plugged its upcoming slate of historical dramas and action movies, and Sony Pictures Classics promoted its buzzy festival fare. Tuesday's festivities began with a morning event featuring presentations from Neon and GKIDS (and a whole lot of remarks from theater executives). Those distributors shared new footage from titles like *Godzilla Minus Zero*, *A Place in Hell*, *Hokum*, *Hope*, and more.

In the afternoon, Warner Bros. will host a two-hour presentation.

Here's all the biggest news from day 2 of CinemaCon 2026.

Godzilla Minus Zero

*Release date: Nov. 6, 2026*

Director Takashi Yamazaki appeared on stage to plug the upcoming sequel to his Oscar-winning breakout *Godzilla Minus One*. He shared two major takeaways about the movie, which is being filmed for IMAX: it will be "a direct sequel to *Godzilla Minus One*," and "will continue to follow the story of the Shikishima family" from the first film. (That kinda sounds like two ways of saying the same thing, but I digress).

More importantly, Yamazaki showed off the first brief teaser for the film, which appears to be bringing American elements into the story, as the final money shot showed Godzilla lurching toward the Statue of Liberty. The teaser also featured English voiceover narration that seemed to be delivered by one or more characters in the American military.

"If their operation fails, maybe we'll finally get to use it," someone says.

A title card explains that two years have passed since *Minus One* before another voiceover delivers an ominous message that sounds like it's about nuclear bombing. "Abort third drop! Repeat, abort third drop!"

There's also a shot of a fighter pilot flying into a shimmering blue field in the sky.

Prior to the teaser, we saw a sizzle reel of behind-the-scenes footage from the set of *Minus Zero*, which appeared to show a massive warhead, people running through a marketplace, actors dressed as military personnel being pulled back on wires, and massive amounts of rubble and green screen.

Adam Scott took the stage to reflect on his passion for horror movies before introducing the latest trailer for the haunted hotel movie from *Oddity* director Damian McCarthy. "It roughly translates to 'nonsense,' something you don't believe in, something you might write off," the *Severance* star said of the film's title, adding, "The most dangerous thing you can do is not believe" if you're in his character's precarious situation. The trailer was extremely similar to the one already released last month (see above), with slightly more imagery of a dead goat.

A Place in Hell

*Release date: Christmas 2026*

Michelle Williams and Daisy Edgar-Jones introduced their new thriller via a pre-recorded message in which they adopted an uncomfortable hostility toward one another while sitting in a car that looked like it was on the set of the film. Their tone was more understandable after seeing the trailer, which highlighted Williams' character becoming paranoid as she prepares to take maternity leave and feels increasingly threatened by a new female coworker (Edgar-Jones) at her law firm.

I Love Boosters

*Release date: May 22, 2026*

*Sorry to Bother You* filmmaker Boots Riley and *Judas and the Black Messiah* star LaKeith Stanfield plugged their new project together, introducing a pre-recorded clip from star Keke Palmer that led into an exclusive scene from *I Love Boosters*. The scene, which was already glimpsed in the film's trailer (see above), primarily takes place in a monochromatic green store, where Palmer's character gets excited when Christie Smith (Demi Moore) discusses her shoplifting gang on the news. Stanfield's character also tries to chat her up with an uncanny intensity in his eyes. The movie looks extremely fun, but the clip wasn't particularly revelatory.

Neon saved its most exciting material for last, with an exclusive first look at this new sci-fi creature feature from Na Hong-jin (*The Wailing*). The trailer shows a police officer fearfully investigating a deserted city street covered in rubble before seeing a mysterious force launch a car toward someone who's running away. We later get better glimpses of the massive monsters as they chase the characters through both urban and woodland areas, with one of the heroes shooting at them while riding a horse. There's also a shot of an enormous spaceship crashing through the sky. The whole atmosphere has shades of *The Host* and *A Quiet Place*, while still feeling like its own thing.
