A decade after they separated, Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer are finally legally untangled.

The former couple were declared legally single on Oct. 1, according to court documents obtained and reviewed by **. The judgment, filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, made it official: “Marital or domestic partnership status is terminated.”

Maguire and Meyer’s divorce actually took longer than their nine-year marriage.

The *Spider-Man* star and Meyer, a jewelry designer, separated in June 2016, three months shy of their 10-year anniversary.

The decision came about “after much soul searching and consideration,” said the parents of two, daughter Ruby and son Otis, now 19 and 17, respectively. “Our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect, and friendship.”

It would be another four years before Meyer petitioned for divorce — and five more for Maguire to file his own response in July 2025.

By then, Meyer was engaged to Geoff Ogunlesi, the son of a Nigerian billionaire, and expecting her third baby.

The 2026 divorce judgment explicitly stipulates Meyer and Maguire were not “cohabiting or engaging in sexual intercourse at the time of the conception of such child” and both agree that Ogunlesi is the biological father.

Meyer gave birth to a baby girl in May 2026, and the same month told PEOPLE everything was harmonious between her ex and new partner.

“Geoff loves [Tobey], and he loves Geoff,” she said. “And so everything just works.”

The 49-year-old admitted it was “really cool” to get pregnant “at this point in my life with this person that I love so much.”

Meyer continued, “I really don’t mean to sound lame or anything, but I’m feeling like I’m just having a fairytale experience in my [whole] life right now. It’s like all my wishes are coming true. And so I feel really grateful and lucky and just excited for all these new chapters.”
