Tori Spelling revealed why she’s not currently looking to date after her split from ex-husband Dean McDermott
Spelling, 52, and McDermott, 59, finalized their divorce in 2025 after 19 years of marriage
They co-parent five children: Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau
Tori Spelling revealed she’s single after her split from Dean McDermott — and says she’s looking to stay that way for now.
Spelling, 52, caught up with PEOPLE exclusively at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles on March 26. During the conversation, the actress and podcaster said she’s not focused on romance, explaining that she has other priorities right now.
“I am not thinking about dating. I am in my power era and I'm rebuilding and reinventing and taking it to the next level,” Spelling said.
“And I'm like, ‘Yeah, I'm back. This is my second chapter.’ So I really ... I have so many businesses that I want to build, [and build] my empire and I can date later. That can always come,” she added.
The star also said that she and McDermott, 59, who officially divorced in October 2025 after 19 years of marriage, remain on good terms and are co-parenting well together.

“We are great at co-parenting,” the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star said. “And we're a family. It's just a different version of a family now and we'll always be family …. So it's really great for the kids, and I'm the lucky ... We're the lucky ones. We got good ex-partners.”
The pair share five children together: Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 9.

“Right now, we are currently in the prom dress phase and she's just like her mother. She's crafty. She has a mood board. She has like [a] color palette. I'm like, ‘You're my daughter. Yeah,' “ Spelling said.
Spelling also shared that neither Stella nor her oldest child, Liam, are planning to stray far from home at the moment — and Spelling said she’s more than okay with that.
“I kind of like the old school,” Spelling said. “It's so interesting. Liam, who is 19, he goes, ‘Mom, I've always heard growing up and watching things on TV, when a man turns 18, he's supposed to move out.’ And I said, ‘That is so archaic. Don't listen to that.’ "
“I want to bring it back like old school and other countries,” she added. “I cook a lot and I love my kids … Liam has a girlfriend, Stella has some boyfriend. They become family. I'm the house [that’s] like, ‘Everyone come over. Let me feed you,’ “ she continued.
