Before Taylor Frankie Paul was a reality star, she rose to prominence as a Mormon influencer on TikTok sharing videos about her family life in Draper, Utah.
While she was becoming famous online, Taylor was married to her now ex-husband, Tate Paul, whom she wed in 2016. Less than a year later, they welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Indy. At the end of 2019, Taylor announced that they were expecting another child, and their son, Ocean, was born in 2020.
Two years later, Taylor and Tate separated, which the influencer announced in a now-infamous TikTok Live. During the video, the influencer said the former couple had been involved in "soft-swinging" and alluded to it being part of the end of her marriage. She defined the term as an agreement with Tate to pursue intimacy with other people without going "all the way."
Since their divorce, Tate appears to have gotten remarried and welcomed a third child. Taylor, who also welcomed a child with now-ex Dakota Mortensen, is now starring in the Hulu reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and is taking the lead as The Bachelorette when the show premieres for season 22 on March 22.

Tate is the ex-husband of Taylor, who became a prominent TikTok presence in the Mormon “MomTok” community in 2020. During the early years of their marriage and time growing their family with kids Indy and Ocean, both Tate and Taylor posted about their lives together.
In 2022, she announced their divorce and Tate receded from the public eye. He has continued to maintain a low profile, sharing music remixes on his TikTok and some personal content on his Instagram.

In June 2022, the Mormon MomTok “soft-swinging” scandal went viral on TikTok when Taylor announced in a livestream that she and Tate were divorcing. In the video, Taylor not only shared about their split, but clarified that part of the reason she and Tate were ending their marriage was because she crossed a line in their "soft-swinging" agreement.
As the TikToker explained, the agreement between her and Tate permitted both of them to be intimate with other people, but with specific restrictions. In her livestream, Taylor admitted that she and Tate had agreed that they wouldn't "go all the way” with other people, but added that she "did step out of that agreement."
By the end of the video, Taylor disclosed that she’d fallen in love with one of the men she was "soft-swinging" with. A month later, Taylor introduced Mortensen as the man she “cheated with," although both of them have since denied that claim.

While Tate has remained largely out of the public eye since the "soft-swinging" scandal, Taylor told Distractify in September 2024 that he was doing well. She even added that he was engaged.
"My ex is doing great as far as I know," Taylor shared. "I love him and his partner, [who is his] fiancée, I believe."
Now, it looks like Tate and his partner, Bailey Paul (née Roberts), are officially married, as she’s taken his last name on Instagram.
Bailey is an esthetician who specializes in lash lifts, brows and waxing, per her business Instagram page.

Since splitting from Taylor, Tate has welcomed a third child with his new wife, Bailey. The couple haven’t shared their child’s name, but in anticipation of the birth, Tate shared in a since-deleted Instagram post that she was a girl, arriving sometime in October 2023.
On the first Mother’s Day following the birth, Tate shared a note to Bailey on Instagram. “Happy Mother’s Day to the love of my life!” he captioned a series of photos. “You are an incredible mother and partner. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Me, our baby, and my kids. I’m impressed daily with how selfless and nurturing you are. I love you @greenbai ❤️."
While Tate keeps his career largely private, he does publish his music remixes on SoundCloud. Likewise, he also shares videos of himself remixing music on his TikTok, where Bailey often appears.
As for Tate and Taylor’s relationship, in September 2024, she told Today that her ex-husband and Mortensen got along.
“They’re buddies, you know, and I’m buddies with [Tate’s] partner,” she explained. “I don’t know if that makes anyone uncomfortable, but that’s OK, because I think it’s part of my story. It’s authentic.”
In the same conversation, Taylor added that Tate would always play an important role in her life. “It’s still such a part of my story, my life. It’s my kids’ dad,” she said. “So [Tate] is still going to always be an important figure in their lives and mine.”
