Matt Kalil and Haley Kalil split in 2022, but the fallout from their divorce has continued to play out publicly in the years since.

The former NFL player — who has since welcomed a son with his new wife, model Keilani Asmus — and the social media influencer were married from 2015 until 2022.

During an August 2025 appearance on The Burnouts, Haley called her ex the "greatest man" and said she felt "truly blessed" to have had him in her life. She didn't mention him by name, crediting "privacy reasons."

That November, however, she got candid about their split during a Twitch livestream, opening up about their sex life at the time and insinuating that her ex's size was the "biggest factor" in their divorce. While the former Minnesota Vikings player remained quiet at the time, he has since allegedly sued Haley for invasion of privacy tied to her comments, per court documents obtained by TMZ.

Haley is currently based in New York, per her Instagram bio, but was born and raised in Victoria, Minn.

Her parents, both mechanical engineers, "were always working," she told Untitled Magazine in March 2022.

"I spent most of my days playing camping in a tent in the backyard, swimming in the creek by my house… always pretending to have discovered it for the first time, or doing little science experiments with my mom," Haley told the outlet.

In July 2022, she spoke to Modeliste Magazine about the transition of living in a small town versus a big city like New York, calling it "quite the culture shock."

Haley attended St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, per BODE Magazine. According to the outlet, she majored in biomedical sciences and psychology with a minor in chemistry, and graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

Haley, who told Modeliste Magazine that she is "obsessed with anything STEM," said that before entering the fashion world, she worked in an immunology lab studying type 1 diabetes.

During her conversation with Untitled Magazine, Haley said that she felt "destined for science and math" given her parents' careers.

"I have always been fascinated by science, physics, and the human body," she said. "I remember watching shows on anatomy and physiology when I was very young because I just wanted to know how everything worked. The human body is so intricate and beautifully woven together that I had to understand it – because life is one of the most beautiful feats of nature."

Although Haley won Miss Minnesota USA in 2014, per ABC13, she told Untitled Magazine that the "birth" of her modeling career was walking Miami Swim Week with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

"I’ll never forget walking that runway in front of what felt like all of Miami…. so nervous but also so excited for what the future could hold," she said. "Who knew that runway would be the start of a new life entirely."

Haley is also a social media influencer, with over 25 million followers across Instagram and TikTok. In 2025, she made Forbes' Top Creators List, which noted her yearly earnings as $6.5 million as of that June.

In February 2024, she made a TikTok joking about her career, writing, "When you spend 4 years studying biomedical engineering just to graduate & post TikToks for a living."

Haley captioned the post, "I love posting tiktoks so much more...."

Haley and Matt met in an unconventional way, as the influencer was actually on a Tinder date with the former NFL player's friend.

"It was the world’s worst date," Kalil told the New York Post in June 2019. "He kept telling me how one of his friends lived so close to [the restaurant] and I was like, 'Invite him!' [Matt] was my way out."

They eventually got married in 2015.

After nearly seven years of marriage, Matt and Haley divorced in 2022. In November 2025, she candidly shared more about their split during a Twitch livestream and insinuated that her ex's size was the "biggest factor" in their divorce.

In a clip from the livestream, Haley vaguely explained the issue to streamer Marlon Garcia, refusing to say it out loud before typing it out on her phone to the host.

When Garcia asked if the influencer was being serious, she responded, "Dead ass, for our whole marriage, dead ass!"

"But I was going to try it all: therapist, doctors. Not even lying. Looked up lipo-type s---," Haley continued, explaining the steps she was willing to take in order to fix her sex life with her partner.

She said they were unable to be intimate with each other "because he was like 0.01% of the population."

"We tried everything. Impossible — unless, you know, you're gonna be in tears," Haley added, later clarifying, "He was like two Coke cans on top of each other, maybe even a third."

At the time, Matt didn't speak publicly about their split. However, on Jan. 6, he allegedly filed a lawsuit against Haley for invasion of privacy due to her comments, per court documents obtained by TMZ.
