A Kansas content creator rebuilt the iconic Hannah Montana: The Movie barn for his girlfriend, inspired by her childhood dream
He handcrafted a giant egg using foam, wood and “no instructions,” calling it one of the hardest parts of the build
The project went viral, with fans loving the nostalgia — and his girlfriend’s reaction made it all worth it
For Spencer Nolan, one of the most memorable scenes from Hannah Montana: The Movie didn’t just stay on screen — it became a real-life project.
The 23-year-old Kansas-based content creator and small business owner recently went viral after revealing he recreated the film’s iconic chicken coop for his girlfriend, Brooke Roberts, turning an old barn into a detailed, nostalgia-filled replica.
“I was inspired to make the iconic chicken coop by my girlfriend,” Nolan tells PEOPLE exclusively. “She said it was always a dream to have a barn like the one in the movie. I had an old barn and felt like she deserved it because she loves me so much.”

Drawing directly from the movie’s memorable barn scenes, Nolan set out to bring the space to life — a process he says was far more involved than it might appear.
“The building process was very extensive,” he explains. “The original barn was red, so we used a paint gun to prime all the walls, then painted each individual board the color that matches the movie.”
From there, he installed steel roof panels — before taking on one of the most physically demanding parts of the project.
“We got up on the roof and painted those blue, which was very difficult but so much fun,” he says.
But it was the smaller, highly specific details that truly transformed the space — including one standout feature fans of the film will instantly recognize.
“We used a bunch of trinkets to decorate the barn like the movie, including making a massive egg to replicate the one Miley did,” he says.
That egg, Nolan admits, became one of the most challenging parts of the entire build.
Using styrofoam, wood, eight cans of spray foam, multiple tools and layers of paint, he pieced together the oversized prop — even breaking his sander in the process.
“I was completely winging it,” he says. “I had no guide, no instructions, just pure ‘I want my [girlfriend] to love this’ adrenaline.”
He also credits the people who helped bring the vision to life — including his stepdad, Bob, who guided him through the process, and his friend Dalton, who helped capture the final result on camera.

“Great memories!” he adds.
In the end, Nolan estimates the finished space is about “75% accurate” to the original — with a few personal touches added to make it their own.
Most importantly, it achieved exactly what he hoped.
“My [girlfriend] absolutely loves it, which made it all worth it,” he says.

After sharing the transformation online, Nolan says the response was “overwhelming,” with viewers connecting not just to the craftsmanship, but to the deeper sense of nostalgia behind it.
"Hannah would be proud," one person commented.
"This whole series is teaching me to not settle 😤," another wrote.
Disney Studios even chimed in writing, "What in the Hannah Montana is this 😱🥹💖," while Coca-Cola added, "You’re one in a million 🥹."
“I think it’s just something everyone can relate to as a generation,” Nolan says. “To see something bring all those positive memories of childhood back is something you can’t beat.”
He adds that he hopes the project inspires others to get creative in their own relationships.
“I also hope it inspired some [boyfriends] to get creative for their girlfriends,” he says.
And for Nolan, this may not be the end of his Hannah Montana-inspired builds.
“I have plans on making my [girlfriend] the closet that Hannah has in the show!” he shares.
