Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, the Florida woman facing murder and assault charges after allegedly shooting at the home of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, has entered a plea in the case.

During an arraignment hearing in Los Angeles court on Wednesday, March 25, Ortiz pled not guilty to the charges, according to The and Fox 11 Los Angeles. Ortiz's bail was initially set at over $10 million following her March 8 arrest, but has since decreased to $1.875 million.

USA TODAY has reached out to Ortiz's attorneys, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and representatives for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky for comment.

Ortiz, 35, was charged on March 10 with one count of attempted murder, 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.

Rihanna attends the Los Angeles premiere of "Smurfs" at Paramount Pictures Studios on July 13, 2025.

Around 1:20 p.m. on March 8, Ortiz allegedly drove up to the Beverly Crest home, fired a rifle "multiple times" and fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Rihanna reportedly purchased the Southern California mansion in December 2020.

The woman was located and arrested "a short time later" in Sherman Oaks, located north of the singer's home, per a media release from the DA's office. She faces up to life in state prison if found guilty.

Ortiz was "charged today for trying to kill musician Rihanna after she fired a semiautomatic rifle at the singer's Beverly Crest home over the weekend," the DA's office said in a statement at the time. The release noted that "no one was injured" during the incident, although there were several people on the pop star's property.

Speaking with media outlets outside the courthouse on March 10, District Attorney Nathan Hochman said that Rihanna, "her partner, her three children, her mother and two staff people" were all at the home at the time of the shooting. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were inside the Airstream camper on their property, he later revealed.

The couple shares three children: 3-year-old RZA Athelston, 2-year-old Riot Rose and Rocki Irish, who is 6 months old.

The couple's neighbors were at home as well, Hochman said, explaining that Ortiz is facing 10 felony assault charges for each alleged victim. Ortiz has also been issued a protective order applying to Rihanna, Rocky and their neighbors.
