'GTA 6' reveals stunning new cover art and official pre-order date

The gaming event of the decade is finally nearly here. After years of anticipation, rumored leaks, and several delays that pained longtime fans of the beloved series, Rockstar Games has officially dropped the biggest update yet for Grand Theft Auto VI.

Taking to social media on Thursday morning, the official Rockstar Games X account unveiled the new GTA 6 cover art and confirmed that pre-orders will go live on June 25. Not surprisingly, this news was received with obvious excitement from longtime players and fans of the game. Along with, of course, anyone who was even slightly concerned about any additional delays for Grand Theft Auto VI.

With the highly anticipated sequel locked in for its November 19 launch, fans will finally be able to secure their copy of the game that's widely expected to be one of the highest-grossing in history. It's been a lengthy wait since the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was officially released on Dec. 4, 2023, and since then, fans have endured two delays in the game's release. It'll now hit the market officially, roughly 18 months after its initial target date.
